In 2011,Hedda Bolgar Becker and Mazerin Vinget won the award for the best older workers in the U.S,which is no wonder considering that Hedda is 102, and Mazerin is 101 year old.
Hedda was born on 19 August 1909. in Austria and escaped to the United States in the 1938. when Hitler annexed Austria. She graduated Psychology at the University of Vienna, and in the 70's she was founded in Los Angeles Center for Psychiatric Education named Wright Institute of Los Angeles.
Although she is 102 years old, Hedda continues to receive patients and gives lectures, between 16 and 20 hours in a week.
Mazerin was born on 20 September, in the 1910. in Lamar, South Carolina. In the sixth grade of primary school education he was interrupted in order to work on the farm. During the Great Depression (1929-1933.) he worked on the construction of the roads, and in contrast to his peers that left to retirement above 40 years ago, he started working at the post office in Lexington Park, in Maryland.
He still goes to work in his car, where he's cleaning four hours a day, six days a week, and he says that the secret to longevity in the way of life it that - he does not drink, he does not smoke, he eats a healthy food every week and go to church.
The organization Experience Works is providing to workers that are over 55 years a mediation services in employment and education opportunity, and recently they published the estimate that by 2014. the 21 percent of workers in the U.S. will have more than 55 years, due the bad economic situation.
